Formerly known as Bradford  Machine Company, our facility in Brattleboro, VT, expands Prince’s 5-axis machining capabilities and primarily serves the medical and aerospace industries. With broad engineering and machining capabilities, Bradford Machine provides our customers with trusted experience and quality. A focus on 5-axis machining meets our customer’s demands for highly-precise and cost-effective parts.

In addition to precision 5-axis milling and turning, Brattleboro also offers innovative CNC EDM cutting and drilling. CNC EDM enables cost-effective cutting of complex shapes that cannot be conventionally machined. This process easily achieves tolerances of -.0002″ and cuts into any electrically conductive metal, including hard metals such as titanium, Inconel, and stellite.

CNC Milling

With a focus on 5-axis machining, we meet our customer’s demands for complex, high-quality and cost-effective parts. Our 5-axis machines offer high speeds (up to 42,000 RPM), large tool capacities, palleting capabilities, and laser probing to deliver greater flexibility and shorter turnaround times for our customers. For parts not requiring 5-axis machining, we offer conventional 3- and 4- axis machining.

CNC Turning

Our turning centers are capable of manufacturing complex parts to tight tolerances. Machine capabilities include live centers, sub-spindles, live-tooling and high-pressure coolant.

CNC EDM

Bradford also offers Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), an innovative manufacturing process. EDM uses electrical discharges to cut and drill incredibly complex and precise shapes into any electrically conductive metal. This process easily achieves tolerances of -.0002″, provides excellent finishes up to 8 RMS, and leaves no stresses or burrs in the material. Parts such as precision gauges, keyways, gears, splitting tubes, internal splines, and cams are perfect for this process.

Finishing

To complement our machining capabilities, Bradford provides several finishing processes to meet the demanding requirements of our customers. In addition to the in-house processes listed below, we can manage a wide range of outside services in order to provide parts complete to print.

With experience keeping the tightest of tolerances, we are a trusted and quality supplier to our customers in the aerospace and medical industries. With two CMMs and one vision system, our inspection capacity is primed to scale up to our customer’s needs.
