Prince At-a-Glance

Though we are known globally as a manufacturer and fabricator of premium parts and components, we don’t see ourselves that way. At Prince, we are dedicated to solving complex supply chain issues and creating value for our clients. We are not a job shop, or a vendor, or even just a supplier. We are a strategic supply chain partner.

While it’s true we have ISO 9001:2015 certified (and soon to be ISO 13485 certified) manufacturing facilities in America and China, and two of our facilities are AS9100-certified for the aerospace industry, our primary goal isn’t just to make parts. We help you improve your products, create significant cost savings for your firm and make your supply chain issues disappear.

History of Prince

Prince was started by Ed Miller in 1959 as a one-man shop just outside of Chicago, Illinois. As demand for our services grew, so did we. By 1977, we expanded our capabilities to include sheet metal fabrication. A couple of years later, we implemented CNC technology. We outgrew our production facilities and moved to Carol Stream, IL, in 1997. In 2006, Prince established a new division, QP Hydraulics, which sells products into the mobile and industrial hydraulics markets. In 2022 and 2023, we acquired two aerospace-focused facilities in Florida.

Today we operate five manufacturing facilities – two in Illinois, two in Florida, and one in Shanghai, China, and have hundreds of employees, prepared to meet the most demanding applications from quick/immediate delivery of JIT components to high-volume production components and assemblies. And, as a growth-focused firm, we are strongly committed to serving our customers’ future growth as well as our own.”
